OUR STORY
Our story began years ago. Growing up I decorated, put together, and curated events for my birthday, family gatherings, and events for friends. I was inspired and amazed by weddings, cakes, florals, and all the intricate details that go into spectacular events.
Over the years I taught myself to bake cakes and baked goods, create custom signage, balloons, design tablescapes and backdrops, and more. We have also created amazing connections with a variety of vendors to bring your event visions to life.
In 2020, the pandemic caused my life to slow down and I had time to dream. Rebecca (my sister) and I wanted to start a business together that combined our skills and passion for event decorating. This is when we started designing, and building our custom inventory. We created the very first luxury picnic service in Lexington, Kentucky with high-end, quality items and we loved it!
In 2021, Rebecca became a mother of two so her focused shifted to her kids and husband Dima, who builds all our custom pieces, and I was given creative freedom with Lumi Accents LLC. As word spread of our services we began creating events beyond luxury picnics such as event planning and design, grand opening events, tablescapes, kids picnics, and more.
In 2022, I moved to Nashville, TN and moved our home base.
Every event we design and plan is truly unique, beautiful, and customized to you. We are proud to say that our inspiration comes from our Ukrainian and Finnish roots as does our business name. Lumi meaning snow in Finnish.
